Question Best candida remedies? In addition to diet, of course

I'm starting the candida diet tomorrow, just as soon as I can get to the grocery store.

I've spent a lot of time reading up on remedies today, and I'm pretty confused. There are lots of products out there, but I don't know what works and what is actually necessary.

Threelac seems to be highly marketed, and they have a whole 'program' including several types of product, but it's expensive.

ProBio5 is another option, but I find less info on it.

Has anyone had success with any one product or combination of products?

Sorry... can't really advise you on products that work, as they are all different where I am.
I'm sure someone will be around soon, to give you some tips.
Good luck!

Well I'm going berserk with this yeast thing and I'm ready to buy something ASAP. I've been restricting my diet for a month and I just had another spat with the yeast from ****! I'm itching myself bloody and I have all the nasty symptoms:

I'm taking a probiotic and it's helping but not completely. I still can't eat cheese or mushrooms or anything that contains yeast or I'm up all night sick as a dog.

My crotch is so blistered and the nystatin doesn't work anymore. I'm ready to spend the money for the threelac. It's cheaper than one visit to the doctor and I don't have a doctor or insurance so I'm desperate here.

I've been taking probiotics and caprylic acid. (The probiotics 4x a day and the caprylic acid 2x day).

From what I am reading we may have a problem getting the probiotics through the acid in our stomach and into the digestive tract where the real problem is.

You're at least going to need to support that with Vit E, Evening Primrose Oil, Omega 3-6-9, selenium, capryl and a few others like 4000 mg C daily. If you want the whole list I can go on.

I've been eating a probiotic for 4 weeks now and I still can't eat any cheese without getting sick. I'm talking with the ThreeLac people in the email right now and I think I'm going to take their advise and spend the $225 to get curred. But I believe I've had this for maybe 10 years now so it's deeply rooted in my system and causing all kinds of problems.

Answers Answers.... finally answers. I am assuming we are on Atkins and taking vitamens. If you are sick with Candida you will need to be on the Candida Diet First.

Next. Buy a good quality coconut oil that is cold- or expeller-pressed, and not refined, bleached or deodorized. Coconut Oil Dose: Start with one teaspoonful and gradually increase it every 5-7 days up to 5-6 tablespoons per day (taken in divided doses during the day). You can fry your eggs in it in the morning and drizzle it on your meat at lunch and dinner.

Next. After you are able to handle the coconut oil without being miserable from die-off symptoms then you start to do the antifungals. You can take:
  • Clove Oil.
  • Coconut oil
  • Garlic.
  • Oil of Oregano.
  • Pau D'Arco tea (mild antifungal)
  • Nystatin, an antifungal medication. I have found that I have become immune to this stuff even though "Bee" says that you don't.....
Go here How to Successfully Overcome Candida and read what to do to get the candida under control.

PS. For the nasty rash and itching you can take 1tsp of Shea Butter and 1 drop of Oregano oil, mix it up and apply it to the rash.

Your most welcome.

Be sure to read all of the information on Bee's site. Pregnant women can't tolerate everything so you have to read it all. Also, you don't want to be taking more than one antifungal at a time... except for the coconut oil that is. Cause more is not better. It will make you miserable. AND stay on that Candida diet. No bacon, no salad dresing (you can use olive oil with Lemon Juice instead), NO CHEESE (this one is a real bummer) AND NO Splenda! Candida loves Splenda. Don't feed your candida. You can use Stevia but just don't use it too often. The rest of it is the Phase I diet of Atkins.... no root vegies, no bread, flour, soy, no crackers...nothing made with flour...no fruit... no juice... no DAIRY, no Coffee or tea, Nothing that has been dried - it is a source of fresh candida and you don't want to go there. So no nuts either.

AND no MICROWAVE vegies! Anything in the freezer case at the store has been irradiated so don't eat it. Keep those vegies fresh. You need the nutrients.

The good news is that when you start to win the Candida war with this method you will be loosing about 1/2 lb a day!

I have used Oil of Oregano and it's GOOD STUFF! I would highly suggest taking it in capsule form versus straight liquid... it can burn like liquid pepper going down your throat!

  • For those of us who have only a slight Candida problem I would suggest the capsule's too.

But for the big problem... like I've had for I think more than 10 years... it's ingrained into the system so strong that killing it is a high priority and straight under the tongue is the best way.

Hahaha I weigh 219 today! Thought I'd NEVER get under 230. Goodbye Candida!

What's really weird is that I have suffered with Vertigo for 15 years. The last year it's been on more than it's been off... and now... my ear has been hurting like it would just before the vertigo would start... but the vertigo is not starting! So this tells me it's a die-off symptom and the vertigo was a CANDIDA symptom all this time! AND the doctors never had a clue and have never been able to help me with it! Son of a GUN!
