| I'm glad I didn't disappoint! Though why you were so sure it would be me escapes me! No amount of trans-fat is "negligible". You're right ... it's your choice. Good luck!

| Veronica, I see you have edited your menu on page 1 of this thread. Don't forget your calories.

I didn't verify your other counts... the jicama thing just jumped out at me, because I eat a lot of it. |

| You'll notice I mentioned in my menu that the ratio of cucumber or bell pepper to Jicama is greater. So,it's only a/b 1/4 cup of Jicama to 3/4 cuc. or bell pepper. I know that Jicama has a lot of sugar. It's always green pepper. I suppose that should= more like a total of 3 carbs. But I'm very careful w/ carbs. Georcina asked me a/b my calories. I'm pretty sure Atkins didn't want calorie counts. I eat when I'm hungry, like he said. Overeating is really hard for me now. My body lets me know if I undereat. I generally average between 1400-1500 cal. a day. The amount depends on how many tennis lessond I give or if I play tennis. |

| The reason why J. (and then I) asked about calories is because many people undereat, either because they start Atkins with the "dieting mentality" or because their appetite is suppressed by ketosis. Quote:

| Re: Coffee-mate It is not okay to have Coffee-mate not only because of the trans fats, but also because the first or second ingredient is sugar (corn syrup solids). Unless you did Atkins with and without Coffee-mate while eating the same foods, exercising the same, weighing the same, having the same age, etc... then you don't know how/if it affects your weight loss. And don't think a pesky carb is negligible no matter where it comes from. How do you explain then that some people are stalled or slowed down by diet sodas, for example? And we had a member (ValidRouge/Joy) who was stalled by HFCS in the tea she was drinking, although there were 0 carbs listed on the label (even though all teas have carbs). You can read Joy's story here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...d-staller.html (Be careful. What you DRINK could be a staller.)
