Default one month results. (rambling included)

well today is day 33, i started last month on march 12. so technically a month and 1 day, but who's counting.
i stopped weighing a couple days ago because of TOM, but at my last weight before that i was close to -13lbs and i'm down at least 10 inches overall. more really since i didnt measure until i was already a few weeks in. i seem to remember my measurement around my belly button being 52 inches months ago when i had intentions to do atkins and didn't stick to it, and these day's its about 47 inches and my waist which started out as a 38 is now 36. on days i dont feel like i'm making progress, i put that tape measure around me at the measurement i started at, if i didnt hold it taut it would just fall off me, so thats nice to see.

i lost about 20-25lbs before i started atkins without really trying. my highest weight was 250lbs then i went through my massage therapy internship so i was working hard about 8-10 hours a day and it just came off overnight it seemed. that was a couple years back and i hovered around 226 the entire time. i didn't gain, but i couldn't lose weight to save my life.

i had this pair of 18/19 jeans i lived in because none of my other jeans fit. they're stretchy jeans so i may have even been bigger than that.i kept thinking about when i fell off the wagon the first time, and was whining that my size 14s were getting too small. 14s! what i wouldn't give to be in 14s..

now, those 18/19 stretchy jeans are -rediculously- too big. so then i moved to another pair of 18s. different brand, not stretchy. i lived in those for a while, until a couple days ago i realized that although they stay on my butt and don't just fall off, i can literally take them off without unbuttoning them, and the pooch/butt areas are all saggy and not terribly flattering. i keep having to re-wash them to tighten them back up so i dont look frumpy when i wear them. i'm hoping in another 10lbs or so i'll be in a solid 16. i haven't been in a 16 for probably 3-4 years.

as far as hinderances go, i haven't had too many. my urge to cheat has all but totally dissapeared. compared to last time, thats astonishing. i figure cheating once makes it easier to keep cheating, so i just don't. period. i dont debate with myself or listen to that little voice that wants to. thats the whole reason i'm overweight to begin with. after a while, that little voice pretty much just went away.

14 more pounds and i'll be down a total of 50 from my highest weight.

Oh no, that's such a bad news. See how often one has to change clothes on this darn diet?! Tsk tsk...

Congratulations on the progress you've made!

kibskix, that's wonderful! You will be in those 14's before you know it. Just take it one day at a time!

And congratulations on losing the urge to cheat. That's freedom, isn't it?

yep! at this point i never feel deprived of things i 'cant' have anymore. i dont have to con myself into stepping away from anything. i eat to fuel the machine that is mah body!
i really see how gross the things i used to eat look, and i don't want them. i can make my boyfriend breaded buffalo wings, or mac and cheese, and pour him a dr pepper, and the only thing that crosses my mind is that he better not kiss me 'lest any of that garbage touch my skin! lol

Am I the only one confused by these statements? Isn't the measurement around the "belly button" and the "waist measurement" the same thing? My waist is level with my belly button. I can't imagine anything on your body ever measuring 52 inches. You are really tall, so even at 250 pounds, nothing should measure 50 anything.

my waist, as long as we're going by the smallest part of your abdomen, is higher than my belly button. it goes waist 36, belly button 47, hips (as in hip bones) 49. the 52 measurement is also from when I weight 36lbs more than I do right now, so its not a far cry. considering my hips right now are barely under 50 36lbs later, i think its safe to say i'm an hourglass figure. at least for now

I'm tall, yeah, but that didn't save me when I was about 80lbs over a healthy weight. I've got a curvy figure and my waist (as you can tell from the measurements) is significantly smaller than my hips. Thats where it sits... well there, and my chest lol

It's 2:30 am in Germany, so I feel like joining a discussion about belly buttons is the best thing I can do. As a matter of fact, I might also take a look at your thread about "chests", kibskix...

Sunny, my waist is also a few inches above my belly button. More like in the picture here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...wec-rules.html (Official 6WEC Rules)
