| Irish.. your the one who is amazing... I cannot wait for the day I hit my goal weight...sometimes I feel like giving in and not eating for a week.. and other times I feel like mowing down what's in front of me...I totally look forward to the day when I can just live and not worry about where the next chair is or will I be able to make it...Thank you for your kind words.....The Atkins WOL seems to be one plan that most people despise without even knowing what it is....BIG Congrats to you!! I hope I am there where you are now..... |

| No matter how much you have to lose 51 pounds is a great weight loss. Its more than 10% of your starting weight!! The next 51 pounds will put you over the 100 mark keep it up and you'll be there before you know it.

| It really is little things that help keep folks going - realizing that bending over to tie your shoes isn't as awkward as it used to be, that you don't dread walking to the mailbox, that something (anything! LOL!) from the store actually fits, your socks aren't cutting into your legs leaving marks like they used to, your knees or back or hips or feet don't hurt quite as often or as much as they once did, that not having a parking place RIGHT near the door to the store isn't a tragedy anymore, you don't have to wonder about whether you can go somewhere new like a restaurant or the library because you know you can fit in a booth or sit on a standard chair without worrying so much about whether it might not hold you, not having to use the handicap stall in a bathroom because the others are actually big enough for you now, not choosing your next car based on whether there is enough room to get behind the steering wheel, not opting out of visiting someone's house because you worry or know they don't have any place you feel comfortable sitting, etc. I haven't experienced all of these, but some, and have had friends and a family member or two who have. It is harder than people who haven't been big can imagine because they never have to even think about these things. The more you keep losing, the more you realize how much easier everything seems and how much extra work it has been to try to accomodate all these years. Congratulations, and keep on keeping on - you'll get there!

| Thank you for sharing your inspirational story and all that you've experienced along the way.....you my dear lady are a great inspiration and should be VERY proud of all that you have accomplished. Your determination and spunk in deciding to get healthy and doing this on your own just shows the tenacity and strength you have as a person. Well done I say and don't let anyone sit there and tell you how much of a crazy way of eating this is. You as well as so many others on this board are living examples that it works and that it is healthy. I agree with Mike, those who bad mouth it don't understand it and do not know enough. Thank you for taking the time to share your journey with all of us, it means a lot and I appreciate the opportunity to meet and get to know you better through what you have shared. Keep it up!
