17 years old. 6 months, 100 pounds, Pictures inside

Sup guys

Today i have finally pushed the 100 pound mark in my weight loss. I started off at 305.7 and today weighed in at 205.6.


Ive been the big kid my whole life. All through kindergarten to junior year of highschool. One day in gym we were weighing in and my teacher told me i weight 300 pounds. This is the day i realized my health is in huge risk and that i need to make a change. I dad had some moderate success with atkins before, but falling off in the long run. He lost about 40 pounds. I started atkins mid May of this year. I've had to deal with my brothers passing of cancer when he was only 17, this happend around 3 years ago. This really showed me how i need to chairish my life and not waste it feeling sorry for myself.

Atkins can change your life, you just have to stick with it. Ive learned some much since day 1. I used to be eating those " No carb " icecream bars and thought everything was all right, but i kept researching and learning more about nutrition. I find all these things i've learned through atkins is really helping me in my school's foods class. Anyways. here are some pictures before and after of my weight loss. i hope my story will give some of you the boost you need to keep going, because nothing feels better than being healthy, no cookie, donut or soda gives me the feeling of being in great shape and doing things i haven't done in my entire life.

You look fantastic and you have a great attitude, metalhead! I have to tell you though, neither of your pictures looks like your actual weight. You carry your weight well. I would have guessed your first photo was the 205!

I know your brother's passing was hard to take, but learning to cherish yourself and your health is a gift of sorts and you have certainly made the most of it.

So glad for you that you have taken charge of your life now. So many of us have left it until too long and find it nearly impossible now. I applaud your success and wish you many thin and healthy years!

I am so impressed with your uplifting attitude! You have a lot to be proud of. You look awesome. I want my 16 year old to read what you wrote and see your pictures. He is overweight and I am not sure how serious he is about losing weight but if anyone can inspire him, it's you.

I hope you realize that by sharing your story/pics, you are making a difference in someone else's life. That is a wonderful thing.
