I haven't quite lost it yet, but here is my recommendations for those with as much or more as I did. Commit yourself one day, one goal at a time. It soon became simply inertia for me. By that I mean, eating low carb and exercising was just who I was. Deviating from that took thought and decisions, eating the same way was easy. Just keep at it, and the weight will leave.

Just remember one last thing, it doesn't matter how quick you get to goal because goal is only a start of another phase not an ending. This is a lifetime WOE, and by the end, it won't matter what the scale says because you are already confident in your own self and control over your body.

Default bowulf and joecap

I was just wondering if you two would mind posting what you eat on an average day. Also, I've seen a lot of "inductions receipts" that call for a lot of heavy whipping cream and cheese. I've been doing the induction diet for a while and Im a little afraid of eatting these things. What are your thoughts on these types of food. For example, I found a great receipt for cheeseburger quiche. The basic ingredients: ground beef, 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 8 oz chedar cheese, and four eggs.

Is this something you'd recommend for the induction phase? urplequ:

:joy Thanks so much for posting. Its a real inspiration! :joy

How many 'servings' does that recipe make, vixie?
You can have a limited amount of cream as explained here:
Quote:
Special Category Foods
To add variety, each day you can also eat 10 to 20 olives, half a small avocado, an ounce of sour cream or three ounces of unsweetened heavy cream, as well as two to three tablespoons of lemon juice or lime juice. But be aware that these foods occasionally slow down weight loss in some people, and may need to be avoided in the first two weeks. If you seem to be losing slowly, moderate your intake of these foods.
One cup of cream is 8 fluid ounces so if that recipe is for 4 servings you would be only eating 2 ounces which is allowed occasionally as long as it doesnt affect your weightloss.

Default servings

Hi,

That makes 6 servings. I will usually have a thin slice with something else, if im still hungery. Im always weary of anything that tastes too good. Did I read that post right that you can also have olives and avocados in addition to your salad?

Also, what are your thoughts on general calorie intake. I was eatting very little in the beginning and now my appetite has really grown.

Thanks
vixie

Default I thought it was too late!

:nono At 452 pounds I cried....fearing that it was too late to do anything about it! However, God has given me the strength to begin again. In the past I have had great success with LC WOE, but would always run back to the wrong foods and eating patterns when a crisis would arise! I have begun again though, carrying around 450+ pounds on a 5'6 body is pretty difficult! I haven't lost it all....I've only just begun....but I'm down 18lbs in about 3 weeks (only the 3rd week was induction....the first 2 I was still psyching myself up to get going again!) I am solidly in Ketosis now and life is GOOD! I'm still 434 lbs.....but my mood has already increased~! Good luck to all...and by the grace of God...someday I'll be posting on this thread as having LOST 200+ pounds!

Congrats DeeDeeKnight for having the courage and stength to start. I know how hard or insurmountable it can seem when you are just starting. You are already on the way to writing that success story. The hardest part for me was the starting correctly after that it was inertia. The person who lost the first 18 pounds CAN lose the final 200. Remember as well we are here for you if you need the support.
