Default New scale - new numbers

Well, I've been wanting to get a digital scale so there's NO QUESTION what I weigh. I had recently read someone else's post about buying a new scale and then having to adjust her numbers. Well, I get to do that, too. My weight on my dial scale is 201, but my weight on my new digital scale is 205.7. That's a difference of 4.7 pounds . What's weird is I'm not really that bothered about it. Yeah, it would be best if the numbers went down (tee hee), but I have "peace of mind" knowing that going forward it will be plain as day what I weigh. Since it measures in tenths I'll be able to see progress even if it's not a full pound.

So I'm going to change the numbers on my ticker and my stats. Even though they are moving up I am ok because it's not like I gained weight. I just bought a better scale that tells me the truth !

If anyone is interested...I bought the Weight Watchers Precision Body Analysis Scale which measures weight, body fat, and body water. Several users recommended a WW scale and my mom really likes hers. She said hers was the same weight as at the doctor's office. My husband went to the doctor a few days ago and when he weighed last night on the new scale he thought it was the same.

I bought new WW digital scales about a month into Atkins. There was an 11 pound difference on the plus side! I about fainted! I took them with me to my doc and the new ones were right. Instead of starting out at 285, which was bad enough, I was really 296 at the start.

I REALLY like it though! It's nice to see my weight decrease by tenths! At least I know I'm going in the right direction. Although with my recent 1.6 pound loss I would have been in ONEderland on the old scale...oh well! Only 4.2 more pounds and I'll be there . Soon enough, soon enough.

I just purchased a digital scale as well. I was luckly to have a 2-3 lb. differences (although lower) with the new one. I agree with you guys: numbers are just numbers. We have to just keep our eyes on a 'downward trend' and not get to worked up either way. From here on out, I've decided to ONLY weight on my new scale. It's so tempting to jump on the one at work, at my parents', or at my boyfriend's house. Even if my scale would have shown a gain like yours did, I still love my new scale...it is so cut and dry!!

I've been thinking about getting one of those WW scales. Maybe I should go ahead and get it BEFORE I hit onderland, cause once I get there I never want to return to twoterville.

On that note, my boss is on a weightloss program as well and does Wii Fit and she says that weighs her 10 pounds LESS than her digitial, maybe I should get a Wii instead Does anybody else that does Wii Fit find that much difference or is it just her scale?
