| Deviled eggs are great for Easter. I am going to make Resurrection rolls with my kids. You put a marshmallow inside and it melts during baking, leaving the roll empty- like Jesus' tomb. They will smell and taste awesome, but I am not going to partake!! I am determined to get through my first major holiday being on Atkins without cheating!!!

| Hi everyone, have a good low carb Easter. We have just eaten my first attempt at a Hot Cross Bun replacement - with ground almonds, flaxmeal, cream cheese, egg, splenda and spices, topped with butter and another sprinkle of splenda/spices - yummy, although nothing like a hot cross bun really - more a hot cross rock cake 'crossed' with a muffin in a minute! Still they were very tasty, healthier, and the thought of having them meant we could more easily resisit the Hot Cross buns on offer at the cafe where we stopped for a coffee - yes - just a coffee! | Well, it was spring break for the kids. I've been eating off Atkins for almost a week. I was trying to quit smoking. I gained 10 pounds, more some days. I broke down and spent $3.56 on a package of roll your own tobacco to have while I try to get back on track with the diet. A can of tobacco would have cost me $28+ dollars. I am going to quit smoking. I refuse to buy it at this price again. Right now I feel pretty crappy. I felt good about my weight loss, but I now know at least 7 pounds of my loss is just water weight that will return if I eat a carb. That makes what I lost recently not feel real. For a week or two, I'll be taking the water off and maybe I'll find out what the real damage was. I can't afford tobacco, not smoking makes me want to eat. Soon I'll be not smoking and not eating much either. Its a good thing there is plenty of stuff to clean around here. My old hard drive is still in the shop. I bought a new one. When I get my old one back, I plan to sort files and do projects with the data to keep busy. I feel all icky, but I'm back!

I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask. |

| WB Rita!! The icky will go away, as you know. Smoking is very hard to quit, and I commend your efforts and wish you the very best in your journey. Gum gum gum!!! It helps! I am only 32, but smoked for ten years and quit. I gained 40 pounds, but that was before the Akins WOE and I ate every carb in sight. You will feel so much better in a few days, and I think you will see more results then water weight in a week! Stick with us! |
