| Your weight loss will most probably slow down even if you stick to induction. There's no way you'll see the 1 or 2 pounds per day that you might be seeing during induction. Be that as it may... one of the factors of the OWL rungs is increasing your carbs a little at a time over many weeks until your weight loss stalls. So for all of those weeks you will be deliberately slowing down your loss even further than it will slow all by itself while extending your induction. Some people also experience a stall by staying on induction. Aside from that, it seems that the only real good reason for somebody with as much weight to lose as you or me to move into OWL right away is to avoid boredom with the diet. If you're feeling good and are perfectly happy with the food choices you already have on induction, there's really no good reason not to extend it out at least a week or two more to see how that goes for you.

| I'm not wise by any means but here's my 2cents: A week or two extra makes perfect sense, but I worry that people will stay on induction too long then quit. I've done it on other diets 100 times - I decide "I can't live this way forever, so there's no point in losing the weight 'cause I'm gonna gain it all back when I quit this diet anyway." Move up the rungs and learn to live with Atkins the way its meant to be done in the long run....I did & I also have a boatload to lose!
