| Good day to everyone, Hello Sherri Sherri, we've had this conversation - one day, one hour, one minute at a time planned and in control. I finished my first clean induction on Monday. I know lots of people do this all the time but I am still proud of myself. Last night I made Linda's Chinese Fried Rice, and drumroll please - everyone liked it. Yeah, that will now be on the menu once a week. My kids eat whole wheat bread, oatmeal, homemade whole wheat calzones etc during the day, but we all pretty well eat low carb at night. DD will also eat leftovers for breakfast if there is anything left after DH and my lunch are packaged. I am wishing you a wonderful remainder of your day Sherri, and the same to all that come after me. |

| Thanks Kath ![]() Your support means everything to me, you know that. I appreciate the reminder Sherri, we've had this conversation - one day, one hour, one minute at a time planned and in control. Absolutely! It truly takes a "dedication to self", to be successful. I found myself, yet again, putting others before me and am really feeling neglected. I am the only one to blame. Today, not only did I get groceries for next 30 days, but I also bought myself little gifts along the way. Something I have rarely been doing. I bought a beautiful fall scarf and some make-up. I made a hair appt. for saturday to get my hair trimmed and weaved a couple of colors and I will start tanning that day as well. I am dedicating myself to some form of exercise everyday. I'm feeling empowered already. It's almost like feeling relieved, like i'm no longer lost, ya know? Thanks for the vote of confidence Kath. CONGRATULATIONS on the 2 week Induction. | Good day CC'ers. Sherri I really need to make a bigger effort into getting checked in here daily too! After the meds and feeling sorry for myself I put 24 lbs back on. I have been trying everyday to keep clean then I screw up. But today has been a good day so far. My daughter started her freshman year today and she is excited. I am on a weird schedule this week that has left me home during the day with thoughts of bad food in my head, lol. And then today with DD gone I was all alone with thoughts of ice cream in my head...but I pushed that out of the way immediatly. I planned things out first thing this morning and decided to stick to a strict schedule at least my first week back on plan. Once I get back into the groove of things I won't have to be so strict. I am just trying to make it a point to eat breakfast as soon I get up so I am not starving later realizing I didnt eat it then I go for the first thing I can get my hands on. I can't wait to start being a loser again!!!!

| Hi everyone, very late check-in for me today...happy to see all of you Challenging week for me...we were out for dinner tonight, I'm out for both lunch and dinner tomorrow and again dinner on Sunday. I usually cook 100% of my meals in a week, so this is weird and stressful for me. Plus I gained 1.5 lbs at me weekly weigh-in this morning. It is my birthday this week, I don't know if that's my problem or if it's something else, but I've been wanting a piece of cake or something else sweet much more than usual (no, its not TOM). I think I need to get my head in a better place and fast...I am loving the losses and really don't want to slip up...but I think I might be mentally starting to slip. I am going to cut way down on sweeteners for a while to see if that helps with cravings. I am also going to quit eating meals in front of the TV or computer...that is a terrible habit - I don't pay enough attention to my hunger signals (or lack thereof) and eat everything on my plate whether I need it or not. It is hard not to let the scales get into my head...I KNOW that the last time I gained, I lost twice as much the next week, but that fear just creeps in when I'm not paying attention! My mental game is definitely a bit off. I will give myself several very stern talkings to this week!!! Thanks for being here for me - I don't think I could do this without you! Sherri - congrats on Day 4 of clean eating Tutti - glad to see you here again. Congrats on ignoring the ice-cream devil...I think he's the worst of them Kath - congrats on your clean induction - every one of them is a challenge, and a clean/successful one is something to be proud of. Hi Forest...those days happen to all of us. Sometimes I wonder what the heck my body is doing!?!

| Happy Birthday, Julie! There are a lot of desserts you could make for your birthday sweet thing. Ya I know we're not supposed to bake our own birthday cakes but often that's they only way we'll get one! We eat in front of the TV all the time too. In fact, the only time we seem to eat at the kitchen table is when the meal is too messy (lobsters or something) or holiday dinners in the dining room. With my folks gone, it's just the two of us and we've gotten into that habit. I don't think it's all that bad...a bit savage perhaps (even though I use pretty serving trays and napkins! ) and my mom is probably shaking her head at us from Heaven. But I just put my food on my plate and that's all I eat. I think a lot of us get lax as time goes by. The scale has really slowed down for me this past week so I had to review the Induction food instructions and my OWL foods to make sure I wasn't having too much. I missed putting my foods in FitDay for quite a few days too and the scale shows it...I must have gone over in something. Enjoy your birthday week and your meals out. It's nice to have someone else do the cooking, serving and cleanup once in a while.

Thanks...I considered cancelling dinner out tonight, but it will be the first time since we started Atkins in April that just the two of us go out for dinner, it will be nice! I found a nice restaurant that posts its nutritional info online so that I can go and feel confident that I am not cheating! I e-mailed my Mom a recipe for a legal cheesecake & she is going to make it for us! My sister is making an Atkins legal meal with potatoes on the side for those who want them...my family rocks!!!
