Happy Sunday everyone! I hope others are having better weather than we are here...it's in the 30s, windy and pouring rain. We could have snow at this rate.

Hi everyone! Mizski, we are having beautiful weather this week-end! (We had snow last weekend  ) Just got back from walking the dogs...wore a jacket out of habit and was too warm Planning for the week is done...a bit of cooking today and we're ready for the coming week! I just went & bought some new clothes today. I went to my usual specialty (plus-size) store because I had a $25 off coupon. I still fit into their smallest size (X). Its funny, I expected to be happy when I didn't have to shop at the specialty store anymore, when I could shop at the mall "like everyone else". Now I'm having an anxiety attack because I don't know HOW to shop for clothes at the mall!! I haven't fit into mall clothes since high-school...I don't know which stores to go into ... I know it is silly, but it's kinda freaking me out!!! I think I'll bring my sister with me the first time...she has a way better sense of style than I do and will make me feel like at least one of us knows what we are doing. I am looking forward to not paying premium prices for everything, there is nothing cheap at the specialy store!! Fingers crossed...I think I might make 50% of the way to goal at my weigh-in on Wednesday. Still really looking forward to that despite the silly clothes-shopping anxiety!!! Sorry for the long ramble...I know hubby & sisters just wouldn't understand like you guys do  Hope everyone has a fantistic week!

OMG, Julie...halfway to goal weight??? How exciting is THAT???   I haven't bought any new clothes really THIS DECADE! Well, a few tops from LL Bean catalog but I've been wearing my various size wardrobe for years. I wouldn't know how to shop for regular clothes in the mall either. Geez, the only time I go into Penney's is straight to the men's or home departments. And tools at Sears. Never been to Macy's. So you don't sound silly at all. It's great that you have your sister to help you out with fashion. It is kind of exciting though...imagine: you can now start buying clothes that are in style. Yay you!!!

We've had a few systems run through here in the Great Northwest. It's 60 degrees out today with clouds coming in for another chance of rain. Our Fall colors are just beautiful right now. Not quite at peak yet. It certainly smell good outside. I heard on the weather channel that here where I live it will have an El Nino effect this winter where we'll have a more mild winter. I'll believe it when I see it. LOL Snow has already hit the higher elevations. I actually chanced it and did a load of laundry to hang outside. I'll see if I did the right thing. Hi all ~ Congratulations Julie !! How exciting for you. I know what you mean about not knowing how to shop. It's been a Very long time, and I know what I like to look at on other people, but have No style after years of wearing fat clothes (anything I could fit into). I agree, take your sister. And I hint I got from a friend, once you do start shopping in mall stores, now that you actually have choices, don't buy it unless you LOVE it. After being used to getting what you could, it's hard to change. For me, 7 days (almost) down, 7 more to go before my induction weigh in. Thought I had escaped the "flu" this time around, but it got me yesterday....  ugh, and still some lingering effects today. Feel like walking, but the wind has kicked in and I do hate walking in the wind. We joke here that if we lived in a populated area, the winds would be front line news, but here they are just normal. We must be getting the same storm that you're getting Sherri (southern Oregon?) and it's a blowing in. Have a great day all

It's a nice, lazy day down in TX and finally sunny! Congrats to everyone who has lost weight this week. You ladies are awesome!!! I'm down 5 this week and it looks like it all came from my tummy roll. One day it was there and the next it was gone. I was actually able to fit in a pair of XL sweats from Aeropostale...and refuse to take them off! LOL |
