| Hi, Is it too late to join? I am new to the board and just found this. I am only on week 2 of Induction so I don't know how fast I will be losing, but I can still make a goal. SW 259 CW 249 Goal Labor Day 238

| Okay. I am on day 13 of induction, and I am down 7 pounds. I don't know if I am going to make my goal, but I am still going to try! Starting - 156 Goal - 15 pounds Current - 149 |

| I am not too happy! I joined the challenge this past Wed morning right after midnight (still my Tues nite, didn't go to bed yet) When I woke up the actual Wednesday morning I dropped another pound, down to 248. Then Thursday morning I went UP 1#, to 249, and Friday am, and today it is STILL 249! And I have been cheat free. This is a little depressing! Besides probably not losing 10# by Labor day, this is not helping the enthusiasm I had. I thought by today it would drop down again. Somebody please give me a something to smile about! ~Mary

Hey Mary, I feel your pain!! l stayed at 227 for 5 weeks!!! not a pound up or a pound down. I did a few things 1.) I posted my diet and got some feed back from people and realized I was consuming enough fat, once I added a couple of slices of bacon I was able to break the plateau and drop to 226.5 so the next thing I did was speed walk to keep my heart rate at a fat burning zone which I think also helped and the last think I did which was a bit bad, was I cheated I had a bag of plain popcorn. I noticed that last time I did atkins if I plateaued I would have one splurge of carbs just enough to shock my system and then poof the weight would start dropping again (just becareful some people taste carbs and go crazy and jump off this woe, so make sure if you do this that you have the discipline to just have a little carbs one time). I hope it helps some and to be quite honest I don't think I'll make the goal, but I'm not going to stop trying to get as close as possible that's for sure. |

| this week with NO Cheats, I gained 2 pounds I am hoping its water weight and Next week will be better at this rate I know I wont make it, but I will still try
