Did someone say the word ketosis?

As we are talking about ketosis it reminds me that I had to keep telling my nurses I was likely to be in ketosis when in hospital last year or each time they tested my pee they were alarmed and reported it to the doctor who had to look up my notes to verify it was OK for me to be in ketosis!

It was the first time in my 7 years of being on Atkins that I had proof by those pesky sticks that I was in ketosis

KETOSIS sticks do little more than cause people to worry that they are not doing Atkins "right."

I am currently in KETOSIS, but not because some KETOSIS stick told me I am. I know I am in KETOSIS because I'm losing weight and feeling better.

often times, people who are doing atkins will trade in their scale for for ketone testing strips. checking for ketosis 13 times a day makes a bottle of strips last about 4 days. some people, i've read, will cut those strips in half, lengthwise of course, so they can check for ketosis twice as much.
can you imagine someone cutting the strips in half the other way? lol lol
okay... yes, i'm sure someone had done that.

Do we know when the best time to use ketosis stix (ketostix) is? I think I saw Megs do a good post about that the other day

I guess I should have answered in a complete sentence...ALA grade school.
The best time to use ketostix to test for KETOSIS is...

...NEVER.
