Finally asked for help thank god!

I have been having issue with anxiety for a couple of years now which I tried to hide from everyone around me I was embarresed and felt weak.But in the last few months the anxiety has become crippling and my family, job and life have really suffered.I finally went to see my doctor and told her what was going on and she prescribed Lexipro been taking it two weeks and things have gotten so much better.I was cleaning the house today and singing a song my hubby smiled and said he missed hearing me sing Ok I do feel better but my question for anyone who knows is how will Lexipro affect my weight? I know a side afect of it is weight gain but what are your expierences?

it is going to depend on your genetics as to if the med will help you (which it did) and if you will or will not gain weight on it. It has to do with many many liver proteins and how they function and everybody is different. Just cause it works doesn't mean you will gain weight either. It has become such a big issue that MAYO clinic now runs the liver proteins tests on all folk getting those kinds of meds to see if they will help them or not and how to fix their dose based on their bodies.
