| Good gosh, you can do it. If you feel like throwing in the towel cheating, you can munch on atkins-friendly things! I have done this at card parties where everyone was just pounding down the chips and Chinese and pizza. It does work. Pork rinds and cheese and diet soda, while not the best things you should be eating on this diet, will get you through the rough patches (I'd say the first 3 weeks are the roughest, but you will start to feel much much better within the first week). Keep at it, Somesposito, and believe me - you will start to see differences so quickly it just spurs you on for more. |

| Hey somesposito! Depression is one thing, food addiction another. Of course they go hand in hand. Hang in there and really focus on going for a clean 2 full weeks of induction. Come to the board if you need help getting through a rough patch. You will see that once you start eating this way, and losing weight your moods will automatically be lifted!

| Hi somesopito. One thing that helps to rid the cravings for our comfort foods is to make a list of them. Don't have them around. (Mine were chips, pretzels and breads) Make a list of positive things to do when you get the urge to to cheat. (Walk, call a friend, listen to motivational music and exercise, drink a tall glass of water, have a photo of yourself at your goal weight and concentrate on returning to that figure, read success stories, come to ADBB for support, write your feelings in a journal) -- having a plan in place before the cravings hit will help you through them. We understand what you're going through - You can do this. We are all here to help you.

| Somesposito, I don't have much to say except that I feel ya girl! I also suffer from Derpression, and food is how I deal with it. As you know, at times we get depressed, and hopeless, and I just think to myself, what's the point in losing weight... I dunno where I'm going with this, just wanted to say I know how you feel.
