| I'm sorry you're having a difficult time in induction. It might be helpful to stock your fridgerator with tons of grab and go snacks so that you won't be tempted to eat outside the plan. Try to really plan your meals for the day also. Can you take the meds at a different time of day so you're not so tired right in the middle of the day, that might help as well. You will feel energy once you're into ketosis!

| I am sorry that you are having so much trouble. I suffer from depression and bipolar. My medication, Zyprexa, causes me to crave sweet starchy foods. I find that salty foods satisfy my cravings . I have sliced pepperoni and Chipolte cheese slices that I eat when really craving sweets. They work for me. Try a variety of cheeses until you find the ones you like the most and keep them on hand for that special emergency. If you really get despirate, Sorbee makes a great candy bar that is low carb. I found it in my diet section of the grocery store. Best of all it does not cause diarrhea like so many other low carb chocolates. Stay strong , it really is worth all the work and trust me it gets easier with time. Linda

| I can completely relate to getting on the scale when I'm feeling really hungry and light, and then seeing the numbers go up instead of down and thinking, what the heck am I battling away for if I gain anyway? I have to be careful about when I weigh, maybe you should be strict too so you don't get discouraged. I also (only recently) tend to retain water at certain times of the month and then feel bloated and it all just makes me want to eat. You must have it so much harder dealing with depression too, but know that everyone is in the same boat, so limit scale-watching if it will potentially knock you for six, and keep at the forefront of your mind when you do weigh that tomorrow may be minus 5 of the two that are up today because of so many cycles within our bodies. Feel better and get straight back on track!
