| Have you tried Cymbalta? I was rarely hungry while on that. It did cause me some problems with reflux and such but I doubt that would be a problem on this way of eating. It's an effective med and really does work! |

| No, that's one I haven't tried. I was on Lexapro a while and loved it then Dec 18 my Dad suddenly died and I guess I was under so much stress that it quit working. Dr. put me on Pristiq (like effexor) and it didn't really work so he added Abilify to boost it but I am not really happy with the outcome. Thanks for the suggestion. I have been on just about everything BUT Cymbalta.

| One of the perks of Cymbalta is that it's an effective antidepressant but it also helps those who suffer from diabetic neuropathy. Many people take it for nerve pain. Turned out to be just what I needed when suffering FOR YEARS from chronic pain after a car accident and subsequent back surgeries. Not to mention the depression that's brought on by just chronic pain all by itself!! Of course, you know, these meds don't work the same for everyone but I lost weight while on Cymbalta. Gaining was never an issue. It would be nice for you to find something effective that doesn't interfere with your goals for your body! Good luck! Tell your doctor what you want them to do. I've seen the commercial with all the warnings for Abilify and it scares the sh*t out of me!! I think I'd rather die than suffer from a few of those side effects! |

| I take 60mg of Cymbalta every night for neuropathic pain from a disorder I have called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). I've been taking it two years, and have not had a problem with weight gain from it. It also has less side effects than most.
