| Welcome to and also to the Diabetic Forum!!It seems that you're doing a terrific job!! Are you taking your medications again? I would suggest that you check with your medical professional about that. As far as your question about Splenda, check post #5 by not2late about Splenda and spikes in Blood Sugar Readings in the following thread. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...lenda+Diabetes (Splenda) Keep us posted on how you're doing and keep up the great work!!

| WTG Pitbull!!!!! I love to hear results like these!!! I am with Coop on consulting with your health care team about dropping the meds though. If I remember correctly, Metaformin is one of the meds that hardly ever causes too low a reading. But, please check with your health care provider! And, I also agree with the YMMV. Maybe try a different sugar substitute and see what happens?

| also, the one hour may not be enough time for your body to absorb and react to whatever you have had. Wait the two full hours and see. Another thought is what time did you have the coffee? Many people get higher then normal readings first thing in the morning. lol lol lol.......... Alot of variables here!
