| I have the exact same problem as you. The first time I was on Atkins in 2001 I lost 26 lbs in 30 days, It just melted off without exercise and effort. I Now do 30 mins of cardio every night after supper, I am in strict induction since Feb 2nd, and have lost nothing, thats "0" lbs and seem to have lost some of the swollen, puffiness from my stomach and face, but thats it. My husband does no exercise and has lost 20 lbs. I am on Gliclazide for diabetes, a high blood pressure med and estrogen for pcos symptoms. It is frustration in the biggest form, but I beleive that if I can get my sugar down to a respectable level I might be able to back off on the amounts and then loose the weight. I am going to keep it up because I might not loose all the weight, but I am at least helping my heart and my stress levels. At least something might improve by doing it.

| That being said and done... going on Atkins the 2nd or 3rd time will also be a slower weight loss because your body is getting wise to you! You will lose, it will just take longer. Sheer determination.... but do have your meds checked. Good luck! |

| Jacqui - you haven't posted in awhile....how are things going? Are you actively following the Atkins plan or did you decide not to? I was on anti-depresants a couple years ago, plus high blood pressure and a statin for high cholesterol. I couldn't loose weight no matter what I did. I finally got off the anti-depresants and am losing weight now. I'm still on the other meds, plus Lovasa (fish-oil pills) and diabetes medication .... I have read that the anti-depresants are what could have been causing me not to loose. I wish you well
