| I am with you.. my sugar this morning was 72. I am on my 3rd week on Atkins again. This time I am on a insulin pump. I have not bolus for a meal but once or twice since starting. I am on 1.5 unit basal rate all day and I am seriously considering trying to go without the insulin all together and see what my sugar levels would be on their own. When I started the diabetic diet while pregnant I couldn't get over how many carbs they wanted me to eat since I have been eating low carb for at least 13 yrs. I usually maintained my weight around 150 then I got married then pregnant. While I ate that menu while pregnant and only gained the 20 lbs I should have it is just too many now to continue. Though I will say the pre pregnancy diabetic diet with about 1800 calories could be almost maintenance levels of carbs for someone who is looking to mantain. Michelle

| I agree. I've already told my Beloved Husband that if I don't loose another lb I will stick with this woe because of the great bs control. It is my fervent hope to loose another 100 lbs or so but I feel so much better that I'm ok like this too. |
