| When I was diagnosed last June my A1C was 10.3 -- I've seen my endocrinologist twice since .... the last time I went my A1C was 5 so by starting Atkins on January 5 I was able to take my number in half. I am still on medicine but I have more than diabetes wrong with me and the endo said she wanted to keep me on Metformin because it was a good med for diabetes and other things. I'm hoping to get off the meds or at least get it reduced the net time I go. I'm suppose to have a new blood test done before I see her again in 3 months so we'll see if anything changes between now and then. I'm really glad you came back -- I see how this has changed my numbers in the last 6 months and truly believe it's the way to go!
