| That's awesome! Weighing. It depends. Dr. Atkins told us to weigh at the end of the two weeks of Induction, so that we don't obsess about the number on the scale. Some people can get pretty discouraged by daily weight fluctuations. Others are fine seeing these normal fluctuations and they don't mind weighing every morning. It's a matter of personal preference, I guess. I normally weigh daily (unless I'm traveling or something) and take the average at the end of the week. Then I put the averages on a chart to see how my weight changes.

| I weigh every Monday morning before I get dressed - right out of bed. Rarely do I ever weigh during the week (ie: start of a challenge that required a weight-in or an ending weight). I can't do the everyday -- I have enough stress in my life - I don't need any additional stress added to it! As far as taking yourself off your meds - make sure your doctor knows you have done this. My blood sugar numbers have come down (my A1C has gone from 10.3 to 5.0 since January) but I never stopped taking my meds. I have too many other things other than Diabetes that my meds help regulate. Good luck to you.

| Congratulations! I am so stoked for you! Makes me excited, cuz I am also a type two and struggling with my glucose numbers. You give me hope! Of course, I took myself off my meds when I began induction, for I have read extensively that if you make this program your way of eating, the sugar will normalize. I just have to be patient, I think. Keep up the good work! As far as weighing, I have been doing that daily, but I just had a blip on that deal and went up a pound. That can mess with your head. I may decide to just do a weekly weigh in instead. I have to give that some thought. Anyway, welcome to induction! I hope it all goes well for you! Connie |

| Congraulations and continued success. I agree with Imagood1 though about taking yourself off your meds. If I were you, I would continue on my meds until my next Drs. Appointment at which time I would consult with him/her on a med adjustment. 115 is a good number but it is not low. Anyway, good luck!! |
