| Welcome to ADBB! The Induction phase of Atkins is not a zero-carb plan. You should still be eating carbohydrates, mostly in the form of low-carb vegetables. In OWL, you can add back fresh cheeses, nuts, fruits, starchy vegetables and grains (and alcohol, if you drink). The book you need for weight loss is "Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution" (2002).

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Sorry, I should probably clarify, when my doctor said to get rid of carbs he meant the bad ones. Like white flour anything. He said if possible do not even eat a lot of the whole wheat stuff. As far as induction is going I am doing well, I have lost 4 pounds so far and am starting to feel pretty good. Hope everyone else is doing well. Would love to hear more "positive" things from you guys. Hugs! |

| Welcome! Reading Dr. Atkins Diabetic Revolution book is great! It's a good companion to DANDR ... from what I understand, the diabetes book has different ways of "doing Atkins" than DANDR ...
