Default Chocolate Milk Shake

If you love chocolate as much as I do, than here is a chocolate milkshake recipe.

1 packet sugar free chocolate pudding
1 cup of ice
1/4 cup of cream
16oz. Cold water

Place all ingredients into a blender, blend till ice is crushed, drink with straw, and enjoy. I like to add a little vanilla extract to the mix, almost gives it a vanilla ice cream taste.

Default Re: Chocolate Milk Shake

Is this an entire package of sugar free pudding such as Jello Pudding? If so this recipe will be quite high in carbs, and has a good amount of starch in it.

there are 8gs of carbs in a quarter package of sugar free/fat free Jello pudding, so you are looking at 32gs for 1 package: http://www.calorieking.com/foods/cal...HVkZGluZw.html

then you have to count the carbs in the cream which would be about 2..so you are looking at 34 g's of carbs for this recipes.

If it's not a package of Jello sugar free pudding you are referring too, please clarify to avoid any confusion. Thanks!

D'oh! Guess I could have specified brand. Yes, Jello COOK brand sugar free, 1/4 has 7 carbs. Use 1/4 packet, more depending on what stage of the diet you're on. Using an entire packet will be explosively sweet to anyone whoese been deprived of sugar (at least for me).

You may want to edit your recipe then, it has

Quote:
1 packet sugar free chocolate pudding
Which could appear to be an entire packet of pudding mix.

I wouldn't say you could use more depending on what stage you are in..it contains corn starch so i would say even in owl and maintnenace i wouldn't eat more than 1 serving size.

Default Re: Chocolate Milk Shake

Just a note: I occasionally have a modification of this.
One only really needs 1 T. of the sugar free pudding mix, and one T. of the heavy whipping cream to make a tasty shake. This would cut the carb count down significantly.
I save this as a treat after an expecially hard workout.
I also occasionally have the butterscotch flavor instead of the chocolate. There are other flavors to play around with. (vanilla, banana, white chocolate, pistachio)
