Thumbs up Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Shake

Now - I use a ZERO CARB protein powder which was a lot more expensive than most standard ones but it's a huge container and it actually tastes really good. It's actually called ZEROCARB and I got it from Netrition. So my measurements for this shake will be a lot different than others - I get 2.25 carbs per serving - and it's a big serving and very yummy

2 scoops vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp cocoa
1 packet splenda (if you use liquid stuff I guess it'd be different but mine hasn't come in yet)
1/2 tbsp peanut butter
8 oz water
5 ice cubes

Blend all together!

If you have chocolate protein powder it apparently works the same and I would believe you could leave out the Splenda all together as I think they have a natural sweetener in the powder.

I woke up not hungry at all but needed to have something until I am ready to eat and this was perfect! Of course I also had to try out my new blender which came in yesterday

I've tried something similar with a GNC chocolate protein powder and it worked perfectly. I recommend using a bit more peanut butter with the chocolate powder if possible. The chocolate powder is really strong.

BTW - I added 6 drops of Sweetzfree and it worked great for me. I'm having such fun playing with that new little bottle.

I didn't want more peanut butter - it came up pretty even tasting to me? Maybe it's the type of peanut butter?

Yeah it could be. I usually use Jiff in mine.

This is dynamite! I used the chocolate low-carb protein powder (1 net carb per serving) and maybe a tablespoon of PB (2 net carbs). I am a cephalic insulin junkie so I don't use splenda, but I really don't think it needs it. The recipe is good and fast and easy to make and perfect in lieu of not eating anything.
