| Well, I don't know how to cure your problem but I hated water. What it took for me was to get a bottle with a squirt top. And THEN make it your siamese twin. Don't go anywhere without it! Make having a glass of water a condition to getting a cup of coffee or anything else. YOU HAVE TO DRINK YOUR WATER OR YOU WILL NOT LOSE AS MUCH WEIGHT! You are in control of yourself. Be more firm with your mind. YOU CAN DO THIS!

| I think that years of drinking juice, soda, milk, coffee, Kool-Aid, and tea have taught us that beverages should have flavor. The commercials, ads, posters, and billboards that we are bombarded with, even in our own homes, don't help. I think Discolemonade has the right solution to your problem. Keep water with you at all times. Carry it around the house with you, in your car, to work and inside any establishment that will allow it. I can't remember the exact number, but it takes very little time to form a habit. Drinking water is one drinking habit you can't afford not to have! |

| Thanks disco and Paula, immediately after making that post I went and got a bottle of water, and filled my water filter. So I know today, at least, I will drink it. I just need to do that every day... |

| I was lucky even pre atkins I would drink LOADS of water. I've done it for years so I know it's good for you but it does take more than that to drop weight. It helped with my asthma MAJORLY though. What I do is I fill up a bottle (old apple juice bottle) that is 96 ounces. It has it printed on there. I drink 2 of those a day (personally) not suggesting it to anyone. I crave water. It's my favorite beverage. My only issue is I like having something else with meals instead of the water and when I drink it, it must be ICE COLD. Maybe try changing the temps of the water some people like it room temp others like it really cold like myself. I bought a new cup/mug today that is mammoth it holds 44 ounces or so by itself. lol It's like lifting weights just trying to drink out of it. My mom bought one too but she's going to be filling hers up with coke. |

| I know how you feel. I still have a hard time drinking my water, even after a year and a half on Atkins. My method is brute force. I have a big 30 oz cup and I fill it in the morning, if I don't finish by noon, I have to sit and drink the rest before getting up and doing other things. Then I fill it up again and go through the same process after dinner. If I don't finish by bed time I can't rest until I chug the rest. That's the only way I can do it. Sometime I squeeze some lemon in it to give it zest! |

| Some people put slices of lemon, some put cucumber slices to improve the taste. I love lemon slices with lots of ice. I don't measure it out and then try to finish it each day or it would become a chore for me. I just keep a large mug (20 oz) filled with me all day, and refill, and refill. If I'm out running errands, I will stop at a gas station and buy a bottle or two. I have water with me always. It's become habit. |

| Like Discolemonade said, carry it with you everywhere! It even becomes something to do with your hands if others are snacking--I find if I have the bottle in my hand it somehow automatically comes to my mouth with no effort. It also gave me a reason to splurge on a really hot oversized handbag (so I can tote my water around, of course). Once you do start drinking it, I find instant gratification the skin improvement. I know drinking it helps with weight loss, but sometimes some of us need to see something 'RIGHT NOW' to motivate. My mother was the same way, she had some mental block against drinking water, until I forced it on her and her adultne magically went away!
