I have been checked for being hypoglycemic in the past and I am not, I never thought about anxiety or panic attacks till reading the post on this site and the more I thought back on my short comings the more everything made since. I do have a heart murmer and always thought I was having heart problems when these "attacks " came up but I don't have these attacks riding horses or working out so it didn't make since that it was just my heart. Then upon seeing the drugs on of the poster listed I remembered my mom saying that she had been on it and vallum when I was little, but I never knew that she had a problem because she didn't raise me and we were not together that much. Wow what a shock and I'm so releaved that I've figured out what my problem is so I can work around it !Thanks for the huggies though...

I have a mitral valve prolaspe and I know that people who have them are more prone to panic attacks. Is that what you have?

I don't know the specifics of my condition,I went to an Urgent Care three yrs ago to have my blood checked and the Doctor told me after having another doctor in the office listen to my heart that I have a Heart murmer and slightly irregular beat.I was told to go to a specialist but I don't have insurance,I can't find a specialist to take me with out it.Soooo...I've been taking it easy till now and have had the spells pretty much undercontrol till the weight loss, job, school, guy situation came up. Now I'm a basket case.

Hi everyone, I so know how everyone feels here. I have a history of anxiety and panic attacks and they are no fun whatsoever. I have to say though im the opposite, when im eating right and excercising i have less bouts of anxiety. I also had an irregular heart beat but for whatever reason it has bounced back to normal. I have been on klonopin and im not now but i still would like to have it here just as a security measure, usually when i get my attacks are at night, when im trying to go to sleep, not sure if its from winding down and all my thoughts are coming together, but i cannot go to bed unless im dead tired, if i try and lay down to go to sleep i will start having anxiety and have to get up and do something, or i will have a full blown panic attack. I remember the first time i had a panic attack and they are so different than your usual anxiety, my hubby had to call an ambulance i really thought i was dying, i couldnt breathe, my heart was about to pop out my chest it felt like from beating so hard and fast, i was shaking, i just knew i was having a full blown heart attack. I have had heart issues in the past, but did have an echo last april and they said everything was fine, so i dont think that is my issue, or at least i pray its not, see im also a hypochondriac, which people i know make fun of but it is a real condition and i worry myself sick over illnessess, even when i get the ok from a doctor im fine for maybe a day or two and then i start thinking what if they missed something, and that is usually the base of my anxiety. But when i eat properly, and excercise it really helps me, now it doesnt get rid of it all together but the episodes are far and few.

I think (I hope) once our body gets used to all this energy and we can figure out good outlets for it then I think I will be fine. I figure I just need to get up like every hour or two from studying, etc and do something like walk on the treadmill or go outside. I am planning on starting Yoga. I used to have the majority of the paniced feeling when I went to bed too but I am in a trial study now for my fibromyalgia and they have given me sleep medicine so that nips that int he bud. BUT, if I go to bed before midnight, I wake up around 4:30.

This is another of my flaws aside from ending up in the emergency room with way too young heart attack fear I also am constantly worried something is wrong with me. Blood work is fine, physical was fine, I see a chiropractor 1ce a week and a massage therapist the same day. I feel fine most of the time but There is always something wrong and if theres not there will be. What if??????

I'm so happy ! After a bit of calling around I found a clinic that will take me Monday for a work up! And its only $10. All drugs and blood work will be normal priced. Wow !! If I get this all straight I can go back to school! My major had been Nursing but I switched due to my shaking hands and inability to take verbal test due to my physical reactions.
