| You should also be worried about wanting to sleep all the time.... contact your doctor and tell them your symptoms. Please don't try to go off the meds by yourself, only follow doctor orders.

| Dimples, I have been on Zoloft 50mg for a couple years now. About a month ago, I increased it to 100 mg. I have had no adverse reaction pertaining to the weightloss. If anything, I feel BETTER and more energized and want to continue on this weightloss journey. Every individual is different, but I just felt the need to share my experience with you. I would not suggest you go off your meds. Just try harder to stay on track. Drink lots of water and snack on carb friendly food and you'll be ok. I believe you need to focus on your mental health before your physical heath. But thats just my opinion. Good Luck and I hope it works out for you. Keep us updated. |

| Thank you for the replys.I have been breaking the 100mgs in half for the past several days and only taking 50mg and I feel ALOT better.I'm going to have the doctor decrease my dosage on our next appointment.I have not been sleepy during the day like before but I am having some dizzy spells. I really don't want to go totally off the med because there has been a great difference in my attitude since I started and its easier to interact with others now. Besides on the lower dose I was loosing weight and going to the gym more,it may have been the fact that I slept so much that made me gain the weight. |

| I'm currently on 25mg down from 100mg.I'm not as hungry and bloated and the weight is starting to come off again.I don't know if I'll ever go back on that stuff again. After some soul searching I think the best remedy if to find out the sources in your life of the stress and change it.I understand for others that may not be possible due to a possible chemical imbalance but my anxiety was weight related and external. I'm just rearranging everything that was ME and feeling better. |
