I can't find an original hoola hoop (isn't that the original spelling?). I bought some cheap ones once for a kiddie party, but they didn't have the right feel. I'm sure they're still around. I need to ask the kid  I happen to think this would be quite fun and comical  I know that when my son first played with one he was sooooo uncoordinated and his body was going in 10 different directions at once. I, my MIL and husband were laughing so hard tears and other bodily fluids were flowing. Well, the tears flowed, the other just threatened to flow I'm sure I would look the same after so many years not using one. Anyone of you have the original brand (was it Wham-o?) or are you using the cheap knock-offs? If using the cheap ones, are they working well or a challenge because of the wrong balance of beads to tube? I can still hear that ssshhhhoooop shoooooop sound as the beads made their way around and around. Memories.... Well, I called Toys R Us and they do carry the original, but are out because it is a seasonal item. Maybe that's why I've never found one. I miss the seasonal boat!
