| Yeah, I am surprised I got my but out the door since I woke up with my computer in my lap and my running clothes and shoes still on. Yesterday was my last class; I was supposed to graduate last year but the class was canceled! Getting that close to finishing caused some emotional baggage that I just could not overcome to actually do the assignments, but it's done and I walk next month. I could care less about the grade, I actually finished something big; 10 years to get my BA and I feel a bit like... what's my purpose in life now?

I came across this podcast site - maybe you know it already. http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcas.../podcasts.html I know exactly what you mean about the degree thing - that is how I always felt - what now? (I loved/love school)

| I got dressed walked outside to run but changed my mind after a few minutes. It was too cold and windy. This is supposed to be spring. What is going on??? Have to go on the track again - but I am waiting for the car to thaw. Freezing rain last night and a big layer of ice over all the cars. Darn weather.

| C25K D2W5 Ran it on the track again. Two times 8 minutes. Yup I did it. Next is 20 minute run - I think I have it in me. (As long as the joints cooperate) Hopefully I can run outside. But it is still snowing.

| I wish I could run on the track here. There is a teenie tiny one at the middle school but the big one is too far to run to and run back and getting on the bike to go just seems so... time intensive. That said, once I can do hills we have some great hiking trails *rubs hands together hungrily* C25K D1W3 My sister was coming into town so I had to stay up to clean and I was still suffering from lack of sleep. I ended up sleeping too late to run yesterday morning so I figured, "it's okay, I'll run tonight" In the end I kept falling asleep during special time till my son gave me a rain check! I woke up in shock realizing I missed my run and felt horrible until I got out the door. The Ullrey podcast was great this morning; thanks for the link. The three minute runs felt better than the 90 second ones as my breathing and legs got into some sort of meditative grove. Oddly the only two times (note that 2!) I used my inhaler were after 90sec runs.

| I know what you mean about the longer ones. It feels like that once I get into a groove I can keep going. Glad you liked the podcast.

| yeah, well there plenty of free podcasts or whatever on the internet that are supposedly "designed" for workouts, but remember -- you get what you pay for -- the creators of these podcasts have to rely on "free" music...... they can't license real hits, they could never afford to .... if you look carefully at the playlists, you'll realize they are all either outdated techno from back in the 90's, or they are really "underground" (i.e. terribly, terribly boring) tracks, with just a beat going forever until u want to kill yourself -- .... If you want something that's really going to get you motivated and keep you motivated... I recommend the "Euro Club Hits" series -- it's on iTunes -- you can just search for it, or try this link: ![]() ![]() ![]() http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/M...Club+Hits+Vol+ |

| I'm using the podcast to keep track of my intervals but I agree about the music. Once I am done with C25K I'll listen the the music I have and some good runners and news podcasts (like steve runner)
