| We have an exercise forum and a thread going there though it hasn't been updated in a bit... I'll move this post there too as it's more appropriate. I'm thinking of getting the Golds Gym Cardio game that uses the balanceboard (though mostly it's boxing apparently), so far it's got great reviews! I love my wii fit..it's how I track my weight now as well. I love seeing the graph going down when i'm up a few lbs!

| I use the wii fit almost every day! But I also go to the gym at least 4 days a week. I love how it keeps track of everything for you, your weight, BMI, how much you've worked out....its an amazing tool. My favorite thing is the boxing!!

| Hi. I also use the Wii Fit, though have not worked up to an hour yet. I vary that with my recumbent bike with hand weights and walking. This way I do not get bored. But the Wii Fit lectures me well - reminding me to exercise every day when I skip one day to use a different method of exercise! My daughter and her husband visited and set records that I have been trying to break - another reason to keep working at it.

| I have Gold's Gym Cardio Workout and I do that for about an hour every day. First few times I was super sore afterward. As you get further into the 'game', it makes you do more things and you workout more of your body. Be on the lookout for EA Sports Active... it's supposed to be the "Western" Wii Fit. It comes with a resistance strap to simulate weights and so far it's got great reviews. It comes out in a few weeks I think. |

As you play the game adds up your punches, more punches unlocks more stuff. Most of the things are just aesthetic like new clothing or trainers but you also unlock some 'training games' where you can practice dodging or punching or punch combos. I still haven't unlocked two of the training games but the latest was a jump roping game. I couldn't figure that one out... I also recently unlocked "Hardcore" for the daily workout, so now when I start the game it gives me the option of "Light", "Regular", or "Hardcore". Hardcore is a lot longer and a bit more intense than Regular. Sometimes I like a challenge and Hardcore is good - kinda hope there's some sort of ultra hardcore. It's also compatible with the wii-fit board if you have one. You don't need it, but if the game detects it there are some extra exercises you can do that are pretty tough. My daily workout is now 30 minutes of Wii-Fit and whatever daily workout Gold's Gym has. It's pretty great! |

| Cool thanks for the review! I think I might pick it up this weekend..I did read that there was alot of boxing, which is good. As much as I like wii fit I don't find the cardio challenging enough..i stick more to the yoga and strengh training. I'm still surprised by the lack of games for the balance board to be honest. I guess the companies didn't realize how popular wii fit would be...hopefully there will be more soon. I like the balance board feature.

| Stick with it when you first buy it. It starts off pretty slow and dumb but if you keep challenging it, taking the tests, it will start to pick up and get intense. Can you do two squats in two seconds? I just barely make it. I agree, the balance board needs to be featured in more games, there's a lot of potential for it. I love using it as a scale and weighing in on the wii fit. I've learned that I'm steadily losing about .2 pounds a day. Wooo! |

| I just got the AE sports active and I love it! I have the wii fit, but I think I'll get a much better workout with the sports active. I like that it has pre programmed workouts taking the guesswork out of it, unlike the wii fit where you have to choose each exercise. AE also lets you make custom workouts. I also just got a BOSU ball. I did some of my exercise on it to make them more challenging. I jogged on top of it and when using the resistance band for bicep curls I put the BOSU on top of the resistance band and stood on top of the BOSU when I did the exercise. The only negatives so far for the AE sports active are: Sometimes the leg band loosens and slides off There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to holding the remote & nunchuck so your movements will be tracked properly. For example, when doing a bicep curl, you have to curl your arms up AND curl in your wrists so the remote & nunchuck are facing your chest. If you just do a curl lifting your arms, it will not register unless you curl in your fists. Hope that makes sense...there is just some trial and error in figuring out how to hold and move the remote and nunchuck. Other than that, I really like it and highly recommend it. |
