I seem ok with other things made with almond flour like pie crust for low carb cheesecakes. The 3 minute choco cake with almond flour is not too bad. But the main thing is I don't eat that much for nuts except for an occaisional chocolate truffle from the freezer.

Last night I made whipped cream with splenda...it was so good with strawberries (about 3/4 cup berries). I know I should not worry, but it tasted sinfully good lol. It tasted better than cheesecake!

Okay, so I have to admit my last weigh in was less than spectacular, but I still accepted a loss as a loss. I do understand I may not always lose a lot of weigh in between weigh ins, which is part of the reason why I weigh in every 20 days. It's short enough for me to look forward to seeing my next results, yet long enough to bar the psychological damage done by weighing in weekly.

Anyway, I meant to post this a few days ago but lost Internet connection amongst other things. I'm happy to announce that I have lost an additional 7 POUNDS!!!! Now I'm down to 242 Lb and EVERYONE can notice.

It's so amazing hearing the "Wow" and the "James you look different" amongst other compliments. I'm loving it loving it and loving it. And for the people who tell me Atkins isn't right I shut them up by asking them one question "Oh really ... have you read the book?"

Looking forward to being under 220 very soon!

Maybe I'll stay away from it for awhile. What a turnoff!

Hi folks,

I've completed my two weeks induction where I managed to stick to the script inspite of having friends here to stay for a long weekend. They ate all the usual sugary high carb stuff while I stuck to my guns. I also made them take the leftover stuff away with them.

So on induction I lost 7lbs, which isnt bad as I didnt do any real exercise to speak of (a combination of induction flu and other stuff got in the way, as well as a bit of laziness!)

I'm now starting to feel my energy pick up, my clothes are getting looser (a great incentive!) and my skin feels hydrated.
I even sleep more soundly and feel fresher in the morning.

I decided to buy a wii fit, and last night I set it up and had great fun doing the exercises and playing some games. It certainly gets your butt up off the sofa and I can thoroughly recommend it :running:

So lets see what OWL brings. I've added veggies to my total and I like the sound of this cauliflower 'rice' so may try that today.

I just finished my induction 2 days ago. I lost 10 pounds and am halfway to my goal of losing 20 pounds. I'm now eating 20-25 grams of carbs a day. Unfortunately, I got a bad cold a few days ago and while I usually bounce back quickly I still feel bad. I attribute some of this to the low carb diet and lack of some nutrition via vitamins from fruits and carb energy. I also read that losing weight quickly is hard on the immune system and can lower your resistance to viruses. What do you OWL's do for cold treatments? On a completely different note I was thinking about white rice. The asian food diet is based on it yet they are some of the slimmest people in the world not just a large percentage but like 99% of them. How is it then that they eat sooooo much rice which has a lot of carbs yet they are not seeing obesity in their society?

I experimented with nuts this month, either peanut butter or almond butter no sugar. I have eliminated those. I just recently eliminated cream cheese which I have been eating pretty much all daily with the celery and cucumbers. I even mixed it into the sugar free pumpkin and cauliflower. That is the only non veggie or protein item that I have dealt with so that must be it. So sorry to see it go. I was eating 2 to 4 tablespoons or more a day.

No my measurements haven't changed either.

Now, I've been back on induction (-1 day) for almost 3 weeks again.
I'm moving on to OWL Rung One! :running:
I supposed I've been cheating on Induction because I usually didn't measure out precise half cups and cups of veggies. I like veggies, so moving on to Rung One seems to make sense.

So... here I am! Looking forward to learning a lot more about the ongoing journey.
