| Whenenver I buy lettuce, I buy the whole lettuce. I find it keeps better than the stuff that's already torn into pieces.

| Generally speaking, whole veggies keep better than the veggies that are cut or sliced, etc. Keep lettuce in the frig. But things like cabbage, tomatoes, and zucchini can be keep in room temperature or slightly cooler temperatures. I have a cool basement and I stash cabbage and onions in that.
