Spaghetti squash is a new veggie for me, as of about 2 1/2 months ago. I'm in the U.S. and when I started trying it, it was plentiful here (NW U.S.A.). It seems to be disappearing from my favorite markets now, although a friend who is a vegitarian tells me I may see it appear again before next summer. So, it may be a seasonal thing. You may not always find it and yet it may become available at another time if you keep an eye out.

If I couldn't find spaghetti squash there, I'd, I'd move away!!! Yeah, I love my spaghetti squash. I ate it twice today.  I'm in the U.S. but I also find it's a very seasonal item. Suddenly, it's popping up at a store I've NEVER been able to find it in. The other (expensive) chain grocery store has it pretty consistently but I have the feeling that's about to change with winter. It's the one veggie I really have to seek out. Good luck with your quest. I find it's worth the trouble when I do find them and they're on sale!! Just wish they stayed fresh longer! |

Hmmmm, I thought Marrow (England and Canada at least) was the same as what we call zucchini in the US?

Thanks for the definitions. Never knew that it meant more than one thing. My folks were from Ontario, and my Mom would always talk about our Zucchini not being quite as good as the marrow she got in Canada.
