| One of my family's favourite meals - one that I've always eaten on plan (induction too) - is chicken alfredo. I fry up some onion pieces and a little onion (not a lot on induction), then I put my chicken breasts in the frying pan and brown them on both sides. Next - a jar of alfredo sauce. Cook at a medium to medium-low heat, turning the chicken from time. Serve your piece of chicken with broccoli, pouring some sauce over your broc, of course (remember the serving sizes on the label - don't exceed... but chances are you'll have less). I make noodles for my family. They LOVE it (it's very scrumptious!) and it's induction friendly (at least in my opinion). Good luck!

| What are the ingredients of the sauce? If the sauce contains things like flour or starches or milk etc., then it isn't allowed on Induction. Real alfredo sauce---the sauce that was served at Alfredo all'Augusteo restaurant in Rome--is made from butter, cream, freshly grated black pepper and Parmesan cheese.

Thanks tangotori! I made it tonight & added penne for the rest of the family. I sauteed the sliced chicken breast cutlets in a little butter, then added a cup of chopped asparagus & a few slices of chopped prosciutto & a bit of shredded parm on top...yumm! not2late, I read the ingredients & some of it was questionable, but that was in the less than 2% part, so I'm thinking it was OK. It was 1% carbs per serving & 0 sugars. Thanks for the reply! |

| Homemade Alfredo sauce is sooo much better than anything I've ever had from a jar. You just take a block of cream cheese, a cup of butter and put them in a saucepan. Let the butter and the cream cheese melt together over low heat. Next add 2 cups of heavy whipping cream. Stir all of this together until it's nice and smooth. You may need to add some water if it looks too thick. Season it with a little salt, pepper, and garlic powder to your taste. This is sooo good. I got it from one of the moderators here on the board. He has loads of videos on YouTube that are extremely helpful. |
