| That's because they thicken it with starches and throw in alot of other stuff. But you can make your own--in fact quarts of it. Get a clean jar with a tight fitting lid, then put into the jar this recipe: Zesty Italian Dressing Recipe Substitute the sugar with splenda or another legal sugar substitute. Shake the jar. And store it in your refrigerator, shaking before each use.

| Yep and I make 1000 island with 1 T. low carb ketchup, 2 T mayo, and a dash of lemon juice plus a teaspoon or so of water to thin it. But that might have to wait til later with the ketchup. depends on what one you use. |

| I make my own italian: 3parts olive Oil 1 part Red Wine/White Wine Vinegar dijon mustard mixed herbs put altogether in a tight screw top jar and shake vigourously (the mustard will emulisfy it all together) Voila! |
