| I grind my own almond meal. Want to share your recipe? I also make low carb bread in my breadmachine.

| Sure, I got the recipe out of the 500 low carb recipes by Dana Carpender. It looks wonderful! This is for a 1 pound loaf, so I'll have to multiply by 1.5 Seed Bread 1/2 cup warm water 1/2 cup heavy cteam 1 tablespoon oil 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon of salt 3/4 cup vital wheat glutin 1/2 cup oat bran 1/3 cup ground almonds 1/3 cup chopped sunflower seeds ( I think I'll use half sunflower and half pumpkins seeds ) 1/4 cup rice protein powder ( I plan to use whey isolate protein ) 2 tablespoons flax seeds 1/2 teaspoon black strap molasses 1 teaspoon splenda 2 teaspoons regular yeast Directions call for adding the ingredients to the breadmaker in order given. yeild 10 slices with 8 grams of carbs each and 2 grams fiber for 6 net carbs. I think it looks really good. I've been accumulating all the ingredients, and about have everything now. I've never used a bread machine and I don't have instructions. What happens to the paddle when the bread is cooking? Does it drop down, or will it make a hole in the bottom of the bread? Sandi |

| Hi Goodgal, The recipe does look good, but it isn't induction 'safe,' with the nuts, seeds and whey protein etc. Or are you just looking ahead to when you get up to the relevant rungs in OWL? Also the molasses would be a 'no-no' I would have thought. In my bread maker the paddle stays in the bread and does leave a small hole in the bottom of the loaf, I don't know if they all do though. | Interesting recipe. I think I may have to try some of those ingredients. And yes definitely not for induction. Wheat gluten is for the last rung. That is where I am so I have been trying wheat gluten and wheat bran. My blade just come out with the bread and I sort of dig it out (when it has cooled down a bit) Here is the tread I made about my first wheat gluten bread http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead-today.html (Baked some bread today)

| Sorry about not responding sooner. I was away for a week plus. As I understand it, the sugar in the molasses is digested by the yeast, so the bread will rise. What do you use to grind the nuts? I guess I'll need a food processor. Has anybody tried using a Magic Bullet? goodgal |
