| Soy sauce. Many brands have sugar and wheat as ingredients. Since the way the sauce is made is not written on the label, I would not have this during Induction. Actually I would not have it all because it has a bunch of sodium and soy isn't something I am particularly happy to eat... but that's another story. Worcestershire sauce normally has sugar added to it and the carb count is pretty high, so it's not allowed on Atkins. Are you trying to cook anything in particular? Maybe someone can suggest some substitutes if you tell us what you're trying to make.

| I think this thread might help you: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...y-recipes.html (Stirfry Recipes) I just use whatever sauce I have. I don't care too much about the "Chinese taste".

| What about Bragg's Liquid Aminos as a substitute for soy sauce? This product has been around for ages and is very popular in the vegan community. The ingredients and nutritional stats seem like it would be acceptable in all phases. It tastes like soy sauce.

| It's not clear to me how the soybeans are processed to get this stuff. Anyway, it's still made from soybeans and that's where the carbs come from, I believe. The serving size they give is tiny (1/2 tsp), so in 1 tsp you'd have 0.2-0.3 net carbs... which is similar to what you find in some soy sauces. I wouldn't have it.
