dvds wont play!!!

I recieved some turbo jam dvds in the mail from a friend.

They were copies I guess. She didnt make them, they were giving to her like that. She said they played fine in her dvd player. They wont play at all in mine says disc read error. They wont play on the oc either. Says unrecognized file type. Any suggestions?

What player are you trying to play the DVD's in? Windows media or another program? DVD's are burred in different ways. Have you tried to play them an actual DVD player? If so what error do you get?

tried playing them in dvd player (3 different ones) and on 2 pc's. The dvd players either day wrong disc, disc error, or no disc. The pc's say unknown file type and when I do a search to see what program I need to run them, it says unknown.

it's your dvd player, it doesn't support whatever format they are burned in.

I had this issue with an older dvd player i had. The newer ones play pretty much every type of file now. Even the really cheap $30 ones.

Ours is brand new. The one upstairs anyway. They wont play on the pc either. Weird. I think Imma take them to see if they play on my moms new dvd player (different brand).
