Hello Im Thinking Of Starting Atkins Again However I Never Have Had Any Problems With Bloodwork But I Got A Copy And Saw Some Levels Were High Can Someone Help??

YOUR LEVELS ARE SUPER!

HDL = anything over 40 is great! the higher the better!

LDL = is fine!

your ratio (LDL divided by HDL) is 2.7 (anything under 4 is great!)

YOU HAVE NO WORRIES!

you have serious worries with your kidney test the BUN being elevatged.
what was your Creatinine levles. if it was over 2 you can't do Atkins as your kidneys are damaged and the proteins of Atkins could further damage them per Dr Atkins in DANDR. WHat did your doc say about your kidney results and a higher protein diet?

my creatnin was 1.0 the normal range of the bun is 8-20 and im 23 what do you suggest could elevate the bun score

with your creatinine being 1 you should be good to go but ask your doc with your family history to monitor it for you.

you could just be a little dehydrated and get your BUN up and have nothing to worry about
