one more question about that okra is it the woody kind or the soft kind? Sounds like just what I need to take care of my bumper crop of okra still producing in the gargen.

Tully's Coffee

I had a very nice suprise at tully's coffee yesterday.
they accidently put whipped cream in my coffee, so I went up and talked to the manager and asked if there was any sugar in it. he assured me there was not. I than told him very clearly that I am diabetic and if there is sugar I will get very sick, he was confident said they used only fresh cream and nothing more...the whipped cream didn't taste at all sweetened and today i am still in ketosis.

so, those of you who want to enjoy a little treat now and than. tully's whipped cream in the coffee is ok!

now, I just have to find out about starbucks! By the way, everytime I go to starbucks I ask if the have decaf, and of course never!! but I think if I keep asking often enough they will eventually bring it in....so to other coffee freaks in Japan. please ask for caffience less at starbucks! lets keep bugging them until they bring it in!

Thanks so much for posting this Pammie. I found the sugars the first time out. I go to Starbucks every time I go to Hiroshima and always ask for decaf, maybe we will wear them down.
I found whipping cream in the supermarket and I really like it, although its expensive! My question is does it contain the stablelizers like the US cream does.

If you really want a sugar substitute it's a good idea to check a few different drug stores.. nowadays there are a few good substitutes floating around there.

I'm really interested in the carbs for Goya. Gonna have to look that up.

I also remember seeing a very low carb Miso.. when I find it again.. I'll post up info.

Just got back on induction after a long, long break. Up to 110 kilos and only 179 cm. My goal is to loose around 25 kilos. Going to be fun trying.

HI,

You can order many products from www.fbcusa.com I buy stevia and loads of other things from these guys (I live in Fukuoka so don't have access to stuff you might have access to in Tokyo). If you type in "low carb" lots of stuff comes up but I haven't bought any of it though I am thinking of buying some Da Vinci syrup. anyway, they are great and you can email them with any questions. I have been dealing with them for more than 3 years and am always happy.

For anyone having a hard time finding psyllium husks, a recent thread here
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ml#post1133208 (Psyllium problem)
gave information about what to ask for in Japan.
