| 22 years married to a Frenchman. Guess I'm local now - even made it official and I now have both nationalities. I love Paris but now two of my three children are Stateside in university so I miss them more than I miss living in the States myself. I'm heading back for three weeks this saturday. Lucky me :smileangel |

| Hi all, I am a German living in Colorado and started Atkins 6 months ago. I loved it, but when I told my mom in Germany about it, I realized that there isn't much information about it available in the german part of the Internet. So I decided to come up with a site myself www.lowcarbfun.de So let us know what you think, we are very open to suggestions and feedback. Happy lowcarbing, Franziska |

| I'll be in Germany next month (Frankfurt, Baden-Baden, Berlin, Hannover, along the Romantic Road) What should I try while I'm there? I'm in maintenance and I don't mind trying a few sweets, either. Laura

| Well I am so glad to see that my post made a sticky. Now that I know it will be here everyday lets go ahead and make a bond with the people living in Germany. I look forward to seeing all the responses of people living over here!

| Hi Striving, have you tried "Quark" yet? This is something between Sour Cream and Cream cheese and you can use it in a lot of lc recipes. You can make it a sweet treat with some lc fruits or a salty one with green onions, salt, pepper and herbs (great on lc bread). You can bake with it, too - cheesecake, for instance ;-) I am trying to think what else is "typical German"... Franziska |

| Hi, this is Sebastian, from Cologne (Köln) Germany. I will try to think of some good German things to try on Atkins. Striving, where are you stationed? I have some friends in K-Town and on Rhein Main Airbase. YIS Sebastian |
