| In Melbourne, you can get "Country Life" bread which is about 10 carbograms per serve. (Good for those on maintenance)

| Just another Aussie weighing in. I'm in Melbourne and also originally from the US, so I tend to lapse and speak in terms of pounds rather than kilos - but all things come with time. I was on the induction diet for 10 days and lost 7 pounds before travelling up to Canberra for the weekend and catching the mother of all colds. The meds I'm on have carbs so I'm off the diet for the moment but will be back on when I can breathe again! I put a full blown story in the introduction section, I won't repeat it here, but these are the stats! 5'8" 138 pounds when my husband was diagnosed with diabetes and WE went on the nutritionists recommended diet for him. Four years later, I weigh 208 pounds. He's lost weight but works hard at the gym, I don't have a membership. That will have to wait until I get a job! Goal - 145 pounds. Time frame? Who knows. I'm off and dreaming of Nando's! Muhaha

| I found the most awesome dish. I know how hard I work to create things that taste a bit different - more variety! There's a mail order place here in Aus called OzeVillage and one of the shops is an herb and spice place called 'Herbie's'. This is the storefront url http://www.ozevillage.com.au/herbies/store/ They sell 'smoked paprika' that is just outrageously good. This one is the product url http://<br /> http://www.ozevillage...product_id=246 what I do with it is this: Get an uncrumbed beef schnitzel, quick cook it in a skillet with butter and a drop of olive oil, sprinkle on a bit of the paprika (it goes a long way, don't need much for flavour) put a few spoonfuls of sour cream on top and turn it over a few times to make a sauce and voila, fantastic stuff. I HIGHLY recommend this.[/url]

| :wave hey I'm from Taree near Forster in NSW. I've been on the induction diet bout 3 weeks now.. I admit to loving the decadence of it and even feel guilty bout that at times too. I was sooooo sceptical about the fat consumption issue...but if I don't eat it I don't lose it, so there you go. So far I have crunched up 10 kilo's and am not complaining at all. Thank goodness I am a creature of habit... I luuurv my fried cured pigget and eggs for breakfast every day :icondance .. 3 weeks and I still look forward to it every morning... but then I hate cereal sooooooo. :tounge hope we get heaps more posts in here with plenty of ideas and tips.... Unfortunately we don't have Nando's here where I live..... but does good ole BBQ chicken count?? hope so... I like it with the skin on ...I like it a lot! :icondance |
