I'm from Portugal, near Lisbon. Anyone else?

It looks like it's just us two, for now!

I moved here just a few months ago to a small village near Castelo Branco. It seems very easy to follow Atkins here - there is so much fresh fruit and vegetables, and the meat is very good, and fairly cheap. Chorico and cabbage has become a family favourite! Everybody here seems to live much 'closer to nature' and eat 'real' food instead of the high-carb meals that people in the UK seem to prefer. Everybody in the village grows most of their own food, and we have managed to grow a few beans and cabbages. No fruit for us this summer though, it was too dry and all the fruit dried up and fell off the trees before we arrived.

I haven't risked the snails yet...

I'm not in Portugal, but my heritage is Portuguese. My parents were both born in Sao Miguel.

Yes it is easy following atkins here. I kind of fell of wagon this last two weeks, that's why I haven't been around much, but I'm back on board.

You should try the fish also, it is very good. We seem to cover all Atkins staples, isn't it?

Hey...not from portugal but im portuguese... Born and raised in Terceira, Acores... So i guess were all here for the same reason! E da comida portuguese faz a genter mas gordinhas... hehehehe The price you pay for good food! hehehe Happy loosing guys, keep in touch!
