Default What I have tasted and liked.

ketcha, tomato by Atkins- the best ketchup I have ever had!

Atkins teriyaki...is slammin!!! better than allot of the others that aren't low carb.

Atkins Bar' b 'que sauce....Bluck!! didn't like it..

Atkins Steak sauce...eh.. Its O.K.

Atkins bagels....very good.

Atkins peanut butter cups are really good.

Atkins brownie mix-you cant tell its low carb. this product is awesome!

Atkins bread, well, is spongy...I didn't care for it.. I like the O'solo rolls much better.

Atkins shakes- cappuccino is the best flavor. The chocolate is the best flavor to make mouse with.

Atkins - Advantage bars- eh..they are great on a long hike, but the only one I found I liked was S'mores. ( I must say if your in a bind and feel light headed and dizzy because you haven't eaten, the bar can help) but do your best to not let that happen

Atkins Syrups- very good, I like them better than DaVinci because Dr.A uses real food color for dyes not chemicals.Example: In his raspberry he uses elderberry juice for color. DaVinci red dye number 40...JUST DEPENDS ONN HOW HEALTH CONSCIENCE YOU ARE. Sorry hit cap locks..

Now after saying all this--- do NOT get hooked on them.

I didn't touch any of these products for an entire year and then i decided why not. Well I stalled BIG time. :sadblinky

They are good substitutes thats for sure, but get the weight off first or get much closer to goal before you delve in. Unfortunately I learned the hard way and i am still paying for it.

Let me clarify my last remark.

My point is I don't like any product with the word 'Atkins' in it. Haven't touched one yet. Don't intend to. If someone even advertises 'Atkins Friendly' its off my list!

Nothing personal, Lavender! :hug

I'm with Perry!

The Atkins products are too expensive and frankly...I don't trust them. It amazes me what "products" are considered induction friendly (according to the Atkins website) when it totally contradicts the book.

I'll stick to my home cookin'! :yes

This cant even replace home-cooking. No way.

:yes I do allot from scratch. But to do it twice is a drag. make one sauce for them and then one for me and so on.

I agree though, home-cooking without the dyes and fillers is allot more healthy for you.

To get right down to it. I grow my own eating chickens, we have a dairy cow, for our own milk, I make butter, yogurt, cheese. I even can my own veggies and different kinds of stews.

But these products save me a heck of allot of time.

Atkins nutritionals contradict themselves all the time.

I have the 2002 red cover version.

Do you have any home cooked recipes to share?

Best wishes to you :hug

Yup, we live on a small farm.

I buy the chicks at a day old and raise them with special organic grain, and of course tender loving care. Its recomanded to butcher them at 8 weeks. I butcher at 12 to 15 weeks usualy. I am the only women in the house, and there is 6 of us. So the bigger the chicken the better. They usualy weigh in at 11 to 15 lbs each. I cook them in my wood burning cookstove. Meat is sooooo goood cooked in a wood burning cook stove.

The cow is a sweet heart, we raised her from a 5 day old calf. She has given us 2 bulls so far to raise and eat...THIS IS GOOD EATIN!!!!! They are pastured here on the farm and fed, fresh milk from their Momma untill they are butchered, and organic grains. We butcher them at a year or 2. Hay gets expensive, and we dont have our own hay fields we only have 9 acres but we are surrounded by BLM land.
The cow alone eats 2 tons of hay a month and she gives 5 to 8 gallons of milk a day!! ( no thats not a typo) (its a lot less than the cows in the dairys they give 22 gallons a day!!!) and when there are 3 of them to feed, we go through about - oh- 4 to 5 tons a month and hay is 85 a ton. So you can see why we butcher at a year old sometimes.

Oh we have 5 ducks, and 22 laying hens and 1 rooster. We get 18 eggs a day.

and horses- of course.

WOW!! Did you expect all this..LOL!!

I dont put the top down...I get on my horse and ride in the sunshine and heavenly breezes..

P.S. I gave a picture to christie and nothing has happened that was like a month ago ensive

I use some of the Atkins products, and some are harmless (such as the ketchup with no sugar alcohols and a much lower carb count than regular ketchup, just use in extreme moderation).

I believe these products have no place in induction, and even during OWL use should be extremely limited, but once you hit LM and stalls are not a problem, why not endulge a bit.
