| I have the no carb maple syrup. I've only used it once and thought it wasn't very good. BUT this was right after I started Atkins. I bet if I tried it now it would taste a lot better to me. Only problem is I didn't really consider the fact that all the things I would normally put maple syrup on are not allowed, hehe.

| When I began Atkins, Walden Farms came out with their line of no carb salad dressings. Like an idiot, I wasted $3.49 on a bottle. To make a long story short, I ended up dumping the bottle in the garbage can. Here's my advice about salad dressings that are specifically labeled "low carb"---don't fall for the advertisement. Read the labels of 'regular' salad dressings and you'll find that they fall into the salad dressing rule stated in the Induction Acceptable foods list. Your tastebuds will thank you and your wallet will thank you.

| I have bought both the apple butter and the apricot jams, but I wouldn't recommend them as jams, they're way too sweet and an odd texture. They do melt well however, so they are good for recipes. I've made muffins and added the applebutter (melted to liquid) in place of sweetener so they had a mild apple flavour. I'm thinking it would also make a nice glaze for a pork roast or an addition to a home bbq sauce.

| I have tried a few of their products...I am pretty picky...but I DO like the balsamic vinaigrette..I add a little flax oil to it and it is really good ,a little sweet, just right for salad with grilled chicken breast....the sundried tomato dressing is also good...my daughter like that one (and she's thin) . I like the caramel dip...but it tastes more like butterscotch to me....the chocolate was yucky....I LOOOOVe the apple butter, but it's not like apple butter....it's smooth and it melts....nice with pork chops and it would be could with ice cream if I could have any.... most of the dressings I hated....they taste "fake". the marshmallow dip is strange...not like marshmallow really...it's creamy sort of...and oddly addictive. |
