Default Kicking myself -- Lesson learned

As a quick shortcut when I don't have time and nothing prepared, I fall back on ready-made tuna salad. It's been a quick, easy 3g of carb meal, but today, I slipped and used another brand, after eating it, I read the label... 7g (and it didn't taste as good!)

Lesson learned, read EVERY label. I have gone from not even seeing there was a label, to someone that constantly reads labels, but this one slipped past me until too late.

    I agree, lesson learned.

Now something else to be aware of... you have a favorite brand, the ingredients are perfect, and they Change It On You .
So before it happens to you, make sure you look at the ingredients EVERY time you put it in your cart ...

3 grams of carb in tuna is still suspicious - tuna have no carbs so where are those carbs from?

liv, I put some onion and celery in mine so maybe that's where the carbs come from.

Webnuts, thanks for the post because reading labels is something we all need to be reminded of from time to time.

Well I am of the firm belief that reading the list of ingredients is more important than reading the label.

If the first food with 3 carbs had added sugar it would be illega]
The secon food with 7 carbs would be legal if the carbs came from veggies
    the number is irrelevant

The 3 gram good stuff and the 7 gram evil stuff.

I know, make it yourself, then you know what's in it... But sometimes I get lazy

So what is in that "good stuff"
I mean exactly what are the ingredients
that page just shows hte package and the label.
Looks like sugar has been added - although I am guessing = maybe is the usual syrup stuff
