    Angry DAY 21 ONLY 5 LBS LOST :-( I am following it ALL & now I'm getting frustrated! HELP!

    The stix wont move past light pink....i have followed the diet (20 net carbs) work out atleast 4 times a week with 2 additional days of light weights.....How long should it take for the stix to turn purple?????? They go light pink, then back to neutral......then pink again..........i do have hypothyroidism & have been told NOT to go below 15 net carbs.........any advice would be soooo appreciated!!!!!!!!

    I don't use stix so I know nothing about them

    But we need some more info
    Like stats and menu and what you drink

    First of all you need to relax about the stix. Its like a pregnancy test. Either you are or your aren't. As long as there is color registering at times (sometimes of day are better than others to see it) you are in ketosis. Dark purple is not better. In fact it can mean you are dehydrated. There is no "deeper" ketosis. Either you are in it or not. So you are in ketosis since you are getting the pink color.

    Second, without a menu it is hard to tell what is going on. There is more to this than staying under 20 gr carbs. Most should be from allowed veggies. Are you limiting your sweeteners? Are you staying away from processed foods (including the Atkins products-which stall many)? Are you watching your cheese limits?


    Post a menu, including amounts, and we can see what needs tweaking.

    It is also helpful to know your age, height and weight. In Induction most folks only lose between 5 and 10% of the total weight they want to lose--so you may have lost exactly what can be expected if you don't have 100 pounds to lose.

    Also remember -this isnt a race. It is hard work and patience.

    So glad to have this soundboard!
    So, my daily routine (food)
    Breakfst- Atkins Shake with 2 cups of coffee w/whipping cream (2 tbs = 1 carb)
    Snack- Celery w/2 tbs cream cheese, turkey pepperoni
    Lunch- 5 radishes, cream cheese, Atkins bar
    Snack- Atkins bar (3 net carbs), turkey pepperoni
    Dinner- Chicken Salad lettuce wrap (homemade)
    Snack- Atkins Shake
    ------
    yesterday total net carbs= 19-22
    This is my typical meal....lots & lots & lots of water
    Currntly 5 ft 3 & 187 lbs, started @ 192 on 2/1/12......

    ARGHH!! Maybe i'm just being impatient..........

    i think those Atkins bars are going to be the death of me.....they started out as a 'quick on the go meal' but some of them are too good & i end up eating the whole box in two days, without eating much else......that could be my issue.....not buying those suckers ANYMORE!

    Wow you are a good Akins company costumer
    But as you are finding out - frankenfoods are not always the best choices
    You must try to eat real foods

    You eat tons of processed foods - not great
    What book are you following

    Most of your carbs are supposed to be from veggies
    Most of your carbs are from sugar and starches
