| I find chewing sugar-free gum after meals help keep my teeth cleaner and the bad breath away, coz gum-chewing keeps the saliva flowing in your mouth. Other thing about chewing gum is that it also keeps your stomach juices going a little longer, so in some ways you also digest bit better.

| My 2 cents: Oranges are not allowed on the early rungs, and even sugar-free gum (like Extra) can have 2 carbs per piece. Best best: bring your toothbrush to work and leave in a drawer. Brushing your teeth can also help avoid excess snacking. |

| You can get sugar free gum with sugar alcohols that can be considered as zero carbs, but it's still subjective at the moment as to whether the carbs in sugar alcohols are counted or not.
