Default NEGATIVE NET CARBS??

i once heard that the celery stalks have negative calories for the time we spend chewing them.... but then i think i found yesterday something with negative carbs, but i am not sure as i cannot find in their website more info.
The item is called SCANDINAVIAN RYE BREAD
I live in greece and the nutrition data is in greek so i am not sure is true, but is the following:

In each 100g

Fibre 42.10 g
Carbs 29 g
Fat 5.30 g
Metals 6.1 g
Protein 14.90 g
Calories 223

Did anyone find this product in their country?
Do you have the same details in the label?

Their website is : www.ggnorway.no

Have a nice day !!

Ronit

In some countries (like UK if I'm not mistaken), the total carb count already has the fiber pre-subtracted.

That's right.
If the fibre is listed seperately - not directly underneath the carbs it means it has already been deducted and the carbs figure is for NET carbs.

I thought so also... but i found it very very strange... and sometimes translation in labels are not correct... and i also did not know that if fibre is written separated then is already deducted... but they are quite tasty and is the healthier i've found so far here...

thanks

Yeah those are not correct, and are not 'negative carb' foods.

CMcole has a fantastic spreadsheet posted with carb counts that even lists what level of Atkins the food is allowed in.

http://dom.bz/mbrs/carbcount.xls

Hope this helps.

The list of my foods should be correct -- but notice, that it's quantities per 100 gram.
Thank you very much for CMcole's spreadsheet!!!! :icondance
